Last year for the first time the city of Atlanta joined hundreds of communities around the globe in the International SHABBOS PROJECT. The goal of the Shabbos Project is to get Jews all over the world to simultaneously observe and experience the joy of a single Shabbat. We are excited to let you know that Atlanta will be participating in this year’s Shabbos Project. The date selected for this worldwide celebration is October 22-24 (Parshas Lech Lecha). The program will start with a community wide Challah Bake on Thursday evening at the MJCC. The Shabbat experience will be taking place in various synagogues all over the city and will culminate in an inspiring community wide Jewish concert on Saturday night at the auditorium of the Atlanta Jewish Academy.
The Shabbos Project is not about any one organization or any one synagogue – it is about Jewish unity. For that reason, the Atlanta Scholars Kollel is reaching out to Jews from all over metro - Atlanta.
Our program will include:
●Home-cooked meals with Kollel Rabbis (at friends homes & with the community)
●Meaningful Traditional & Explanatory Shabbat Services for adults & children
●Engaging & stimulating lectures & workshops
●Beautiful sleeping accommodations
•Special Women's Programming
The cost to participants in this program is nothing other than one shabbat (twenty five hours) which we assure you will be most enjoyable.
Please let us know if you would like to join us & Jews all over the world in this worldwide experience by contacting any of us directly or sending an email to the kollel office - email@example.com.
